East Islip High School students from Jovina Bratta’s American Sign Language classes visited John F. Kennedy Elementary School on Dec. 17, teaching JFK’s entire fifth-grade class some fun holiday songs and signs.

The fourth and fifth grade Student Councils at East Islip’s John F. Kennedy Elementary School worked together to collect food for the Suffolk County Women’s Alliance to End Food Insecurity’s Thanksgiving food distribution event.

A select group of 16 student vocalists from the fifth grade chorus at John F. Kennedy Elementary School opened the Suffolk County Legislative meeting on Nov. 6 with a rendition of ‘The Star-Spangled Banner.”
